Barratt Homes’ Quarter Jack Park housing development in Wimborne Minster has been one of our greatest challenges yet, and we’ve relished the opportunity to work on it, and continue to be the leading groundworks provider in Hampshire.

The Contract

The Quarter Jack Park development consists of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes situated close to local shops, schools, restaurant and pubs in Wimborne Minster, Dorset. With beautiful finishes and stunning houses, ranging from £295,000 to £400,000, Quarter Jack Park is a beautiful housing development.

In May 2019, our team of expert groundwork operatives began work on the £12m contract, seeing us responsible for all roads, sewers, foundations and 278 schemes, including:

• 60,000 tonnes of muckaway recycled and reused on site
• Over 1,646 km of adopted road constructed
• 81 plots released to Barratt/David Wilson Homes in first quarter
• Road one to sales area including footpaths and cyclists footpath complete ahead of schedule
• Opening of Barratts and David Wilson Homes show houses complete ahead of schedule
• Sub-station constructed 
• Swale constructed
• Preparation for major 278 work to Dorset County Council standards 
• Preparation to construct and install  
• Pumping stations/wet wells
• Finishings to Barratts and David Wilson Homes are underway 
• Preparation is underway of install of culverts prior 278 work
