North Stoneham Park: 120 Houses in partnership with Highwood

We’re pleased to report that Mackoy has now started groundworks on the first phase of North Stoneham Park in Eastleigh, and the Mackoy team, as well as our branded plant vehicles, can be seen on site as work at this Highwood Group development gets underway.

Contract Summary: Groundworks & infrastructure for 120 new homes (1,100 in total).

Mackoy have been part of North Stoneham Park from the very beginning, following a successful tender process that saw us awarded the £5.5 million contract to develop 120 new homes as part of this first phase. The contract marks the first time that Mackoy has joined forces with the Highwood Group and as clients go these guys have been a joy to deal with. We only hope the feeling goes both ways.

Located on Stoneham Lane in Eastleigh, Hampshire, North Stoneham Park is a residential development which will eventually deliver 1,100 new homes to the catchment when fully completed. Split between modern 1-bed flats and semi-detached 2, 3, 4 and 5 bed houses, comprising of red and natural brick buildings, some with rendered exteriors, this first phase will see 120 of the total 1,100 new homes built.

Mackoy were selected for our expertise in delivering civil engineering and groundworks services in other similar scale projects, and part of the work we’ve undertaken at North Stoneham Park includes the excavation and development of all connecting roads on the 120-acre plot.

As well as creating the main groundworks infrastructure for this first phase of new homes on site, Mackoy is also lending technical support to Highwood at Stoneham Lane as the project progresses. The scale of which has meant that site drawings are updated on a daily basis, so it’s fair to say our North Stoneham Park Site Managers are being kept very much on their toes, and doing a cracking job ensuring groundworks progress to time and to plan.

The North Stoneham Park development is supported by The Help to Buy scheme in Hampshire, a government initiative that helps low-income households purchase property on the open market and get on the housing ladder. Making the project further rewarding for Mackoy to be part of. In fact, not only are the homes at North Stoneham Park mindfully designed with the latest mod cons and high-quality interiors, each one is also energy efficient and backed by a LABC Building warranty that guarantees it for up to 10 years.

Young families moving to the new development will no doubt be pleased to hear that plans are underway for a North Stoneham Park primary school, which will service the needs, not only, of the onsite community at North Stoneham Park but also the surrounding catchment too. Further boosting the significance of the new housing scheme to the Eastleigh postcode.

As well as supplying our own Mackoy branded excavators and haulage HGVs from our in-house fleet.
