Mackoy teams up with Persimmon in Portchester

Since May Mackoy have been onsite in Portchester, helping to break new ground for what will be a new 120 unit residential development in the area, delivered in conjunction with our friends at Persimmon Homes. And we have to say it’s a great site (well, we don’t have to say that, but it’s what we really do think).

Client: Persimmons South Coast.

Site Name: Harbourside View.

Site Address: Cranleigh Road, Portchester.

Contract Summary: 120 residential housing units.

Not only is the site flat (always a great foundation for any building project) but the location couldn’t be better. With not only the Harbour but also AFC Portchester and Cams Golf Club nearby. Football, golf and sea-adjacent – what more could you want in a new home?

We’ve been lucky enough to secure the contract to deliver the entire groundworks and sewage treatments for the development – which Persimmon have charmingly (and accurately) named Harbourside View.

Based just minutes from the coast on Cranleigh Road, the completed site will offer a selection of 2,3,4 and 5 bed housing. As well as an open public space and children’s play area, perfect for keeping the little’uns entertained. All of which will be ready for occupancy when the site completes in May of 2020.

Not to mention the location enjoys great access to the A27, M3 and M27, as well as proximity to local supermarkets and amenities. With Portchester town centre itself just one mile from the new Harbourside View development.
